    фракция ДНК, состоящая из нуклеотидных последовательностей, которые представлены в гаплоидном геноме в виде одной копии (редко в нескольких); в кинетике реассоциации суммарной ДНК У.п. составляют самый "медленный" компонент. Большинство структурных генов (за исключением тех, которые составляют мультигенные семейства) содержится в У.п. ДНК, однако функция подавляющей части У.п. ДНК остается окончательно не выясненной.
